Retired adults in the UK could still benefit from a new conservatory despite financial concerns.
Results from a survey by Lincoln Financial Group have revealed that over a quarter of Brits (26 per cent) think they will have enough funds for just one holiday a year, with just four per cent believing they can afford a second home.
However, with conservatories available from between £7,000 and £20,000, hope is not lost.
According to the survey results, a new home is the top luxury that just six per cent think they will be able to afford.
Help may be at hand with the addition of a new conservatory, which can offer a valuable addition to an existing home.
Simon OConnor, Lincoln Financial Groups head of products and marketing, said that retirement is now more about "simple luxuries".
"Long gone are the days when people expected to be able to head off into the sunset for the trip of a lifetime once retired," he said.
Lincoln Financial Group said last month that the announcement that inflation levels had fallen to three per cent represented good news for retired people in the UK.
